Back to school!

Published January 7, 2014 by thatstrangegirls

Hey

So, sadly my Christmas holidays has come to an end, and we have started a new year. My new years was fairly uneventful.  I feel like considering it’s only been a week since the year has started, i’ve achieved a bit already!

I had my ears re pierced on the 2nd of January. (I had them pierced when I was seven at Claire’s but they closed up years ago!). I’m really pleased with them and love the look of them! They’re only plain, silver balls as the studs by they’re still amazing. I had them pierced at a proper piercing place instead of a flouncy accessories shop – Flux. The staff were lovely, the actual re piercing was very simple and the lady who pierced my ears went through each step before she did them, so I was comfortable.

On the 3rd of January I went into town with a group of friends to celebrate my friends birthday. Three people didn’t turn up but we all still went anyway.

The people that didn’t turn up wanted us to walk all the way into town which would have taken us a good hour and half! So as a group decision, we decided to screw that idea and walked to the train station instead (only 15 minutes) and got the train instead. He wasn’t with us. He lives in town already so we decided to meet him there near an Iceland shop. Although we originally planned to meet on the Pier, the freaky sea and crazy weather meant we kind of had to abandon that plan and decided to shelter until he appeared. Once he appeared, we grabbed a bite to eat at the local bakery/sandwich shop. We spent the rest of the day eating sweets from CandyLove, shopping for books (We went into Waterstones twice! I got two books.), drinking hot drinks, looking at DVDs and CDs and sheltering from the rain.

We were dragging the two boys with us (there were two boys and six girls. They were sort of overrun) and window shopping. We did drag the boys into a few girly shops such as New Look and even though they got a bit narky and bored, they didn’t seem to mind too much.

At the end of the day, we went our seperate ways and He and I got onto the bus to go to my house. Although the original plan was for him to get on the bus with me to make sure I got there safe, then get onto another bus home after, the insane weather meant the bus was late and we headed over to mine, soaked from head-to-toe.

My mum chucked his jeans into the tumble dryer and he changed into my pe trousers until they were dried. We then just chilled out until he had to go, two hours later.

We also met up the day after at my house and just chatted the entire time.

I went back to school today – the day was delightfully dull and uneventful. I actually missed school so i’m glad to get back into a routine of sorts. I also missed seeing my friends every day.

Hopefully this year will be just as good – or better than last year! I have so much happening in the next few months..

Good luck to me. I’ll probably need it.

Our one year anniversary

Published April 1, 2013 by thatstrangegirls

Hey,

So He and I very recently had our one year anniversary. This is the longest relationship i’ve ever been in, and am definitely the happiest i’ve been in a long time!

The day was pretty low key. He came round my house on the day. We spent the day cuddled up on the sofa watching Top Gear and chasing after my little sister! It was really fun.

He liked the biscuits I made him. (I made twenty one individual heart-shaped biscuits with chocolate chips in them. I either wrote a message or drew something on each one with icing! It was fun, but difficult. I’m surprised what I wrote was legible! On the box I wrote ‘I love you more than…’. Some of the biscuits had things like ‘Loki ❤ weird hats’ ‘School ❤ homework’ ‘Creepers ❤ exploding’ and so on. I did messages with references that he’d get!) He got me a charm bracelet with one charm on it. He then said that he’s going to give me a charm every time we do something to make it ‘memorable’ – which I think is a really, really cute and romantic idea! I’ve worn it every day since the 26th and love it!

My dentist said I have three months left of wearing braces if I wear my bands in all the time – yay :3

Easter was very chocolaty! I’ve not eaten many sugary foods as of late, so this was a real treat!

That’s it for now!

So much has been happening!

Hey,

Everything is happening this month! More snow, meeting Darren Shan, Going over to His house, his birthday and our year anniversary!

It’s March, with highs of five degrees, but feels like minus two degrees! Don’t get me wrong, I love snow… but I don’t love the cold weather or the ice that follows! If only snow was warm..

Meeting Darren Shan was amazing. He was so friendly and nice! He happily answered all of my questions and even posed for a picture (will upload at a later date, camera hates me). He was only allowed to sign one book… but he signed both of mine anyway, which was amazing. Meeting your favorite author just doesn’t happen that often, so I was a very, very happy girl!

I finally went over to his house! (His proper house, not his groundads). I walked over to his grandads house around five o’clock to go wait for his mum to pick us up and take us there. We sat there having tickling fights, watching top gear and just chatting. His mum turned up after what seemed like minutes, and we piled into her car. Holding hands the entire way, we all made small talk – a large improvement from the last time I was in that car! (first date) His room is awesome! It has all sorts of geeky-but-amazing things such as models, stones and interesting posters. His room is stuffed with books and DVDs (not surprising really! He loves reading and movies!) After lots of indecisive comments, we finally settled on watching Monty Python and The Holy Grail while cuddled up in his bed. We had pizza for dinner, chatted, watched the movie, more tickle fights… it was just an amazing evening. It was really fun, and I enjoyed every moment of it!

Yesterday was his birthday. He seemed to really like the presents I bought him (Creeper Vinyl figurine-thingy with a diamond block, LOTR ring on a chain, and two Game Of Thrones books) and thanked me lots. I stayed at his Granddad’s house for a few hours, then had to go home. But those few hours I was there was really fun. We chatted, watched tv, cuddled, and just in general messed around. I loved it. It definitely beats giving him a box of chocolate after school while dying quietly of embarrassment, like last year (we weren’t dating, but little did I know, he was going to ask me out in a few days time.)

On Thursday, it is our year anniversary. It’s sort of scary, thinking that. It really doesn’t feel like it’s been that long – but I don’t regret any of it. I’ve loved every second, and wouldn’t change any of it – the good, or the bad parts. His anniversary present is nearly finished!

Anyway, I have to go.

I’m actually getting good grades

Published February 9, 2013 by thatstrangegirls

Hey,

So recently, i’ve been doing tons of mock exams, and controlled assessments that count towards my final grade. In my English Speaking and Listening, I got a B. In my Math exam, I got a D (This would sound bad to any body else, but in my last exam I got an E, so I actually improved a bit!) In a science mock, I got an A*, and in the exam based on my ISA (controlled assessment, basically) I got an A. I just have to do the actual practical and one more exam, and i’m all done!

I’m uber happy at the moment. I have lots of books to read, and i’m trying to motivate myself to exercise and eat healthier to try and lose a bit of weight I gained around Christmas. I think it’ll be fun and will be something to kill time!

I’m going on what will be my second ever date with Him tomorrow. We’re going to an ‘ interactive multi-media tutorial on the real science behind a disease outbreak’. It’s to do with zombies, and sounds like it’s gonna be really fun. I’m really looking forward to it, but i’m also sorta nervous – what if I mess up somehow?

Jeez, I really thought i’d be over this by now! We’re nearly at our year anniversary for crying out loud! (I have all the stuff for his year present. It’s nothing too extravagant, but I think he’ll like it! I need to order his birthday stuff and then i’m all done!
